Rev. Dr. Roger G. Betsworth passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
Due to the spike in coronavirus cases, a private Memorial Service, with livestream through Overton Funeral Home (Indianola), will be held on Sunday, August 2 at 2:00 pm.
Rev. Betsworth served in the California-Arizona and Iowa conferences. In Iowa, he served as Chaplain-Associate Professor of Religion, Simpson College and Professor of Religion, Simpson College. He retired in 1998.
Survivors include his wife Joan of Indianola, IA; three children, David, Deborah and Rev. Dr. Sharon Betsworth of Lafayette, CO. Overton Funeral Homes’ website is www.overtonfunerals.com.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Betsworth Memorial Scholarship at Simpson College or The Good Shepherd Fund at the Village.
