"The teams are open, they're ready to engage," observes Greg Survant co-founder of SLI - Spiritual Leadership Incorporated. He's one of the two coaches working with the Bishop's Operational Team and the Appointive Cabinet Operational Team. Greg says of the teams, "they see the future."
Christin Nevins, one of the two SLI (Spiritual Leadership, Incorporated) coaches working with the Bishop's Operational Team and Cabinet Operational Team of the Iowa Conference reflects on a year into the process. She notes, "There's a genuine openness to engage" on the part of the Conference's leadership
"It's been a fruitful experience," said Rev. Dr. Lilian Gallo Seagren, speaking of the SLI process in the Iowa Conference. "It's given up the opportunity," she added, "to be a community." Rev. Dr. Lilian Gallo Seagren is the Conference Superintendent for the Southeast District
For Bishop Laurie Haller, the SLI process will be helpful "for all to learn how to focus on the needs of our communities and be able to transform them for Jesus Christ." She reflects on her three months experience SLI since her arrival in Iowa in September. "I'm really excited to see where God is going to lead us," she said, "as we continue this SLI process."
Rev. Paul Smith, Conference Superintendent for the South Central District, describes the SLI (Spiritual Leadership Incorporated" process as one that helps to "build a team that has love, trust, and respect for one another." Rev. Smith is a member of the Appointive Cabinet Operational Team.
